Invisalign Straightens Teeth More Predictably And Comfortably.
At Polit & Costello Dentistry, located in Pittston PA, we offer Invisalign clear aligners, which have completely changed the way we approach orthodontic treatment for adults. Instead of uncomfortable metal brackets and wires that are fastened to your teeth, these invisible braces use removable smooth plastic aligners that fit over your teeth like a mouthguard and won’t irritate the tissues of your mouth.
The Invisalign Process
There are five steps to completing the invisible braces Invisalign process:
Invisalign Consultation and Evaluation – This is a crucial part of the process because we need to learn what you want to change about your smile and how we can help. We will review all the benefits of Invisalign and, based on an exam and evaluation, our dentists will explain what is needed to help you achieve your goal with the use of these invisible braces.
Planning Your Invisalign Treatment – During the next step, our dentists take digital images and x-rays that are shared with a software program. Our dentists use the program to map out a plan and design a series of invisible aligners that will move your teeth into the desired position.
Delivering Your Invisalign Aligners – When they are ready, we will have you return to our office and deliver your custom invisible braces aligners along with instructions for how they should be worn.
Invisalign TrayStraightening Your Teeth – The aligners are comfortable to wear, and since they are clear plastic, most people won’t notice you’re wearing them. Since they are removable, you can take them out for eating, brushing and flossing, and even special occasions. Just remember that the longer you wear the aligners each day, the faster your treatment will be completed!
Wearing Your Invisalign Retainer – You have invested a lot of time and money in achieving your goal of a straighter smile; if you don’t wear your retainer, you will undo all the work you have done, and your teeth will gradually relapse back into their original crooked position.
